If you are looking for a seamstress who does quality work to your satisfaction and specifications, you have found her. My name is Mary Anderson. I have been sewing for over 45 years, doing alterations for over 25 years, and working on bridal and special occasion attire since the mid-90’s.
I have done and will do nearly any type of sewing project that you need from shortening a pair of pants to resizing a wedding dress to making custom clothing. I work on clothing for men, women, and children. I particularly enjoy helping take the stress out of wedding preparations by making sure that your dress fits properly so you look your best – as the bride, a maid, flower girl or mother.
Other types of projects that I do: custom alterations to make that item you purchased fit just right, sewing custom prom dresses, christening gowns and suits, dance and skating costumes, casual clothing for all ages, wedding accessories (ring pillows, flower baskets, garters, vests and ties to match the girls) “tuxedo” for a baby boy, machine embroidered gifts including flour sack dish towels, personalized aprons for adults and kids, hooded bath or beach towels. I also can add embroidery to an item you already have. And although I specialize in clothing, I also am willing to take on other sewing projects.
I am located in the northern part of Cottage Grove, easily serving those in Woodbury, Hastings, and the southeast metro area. I am available to discuss your sewing needs over the phone or in person, by appointment. I promise to take as much care with your sewing project as I take with those for my own family.
